Self-Drilling Screws have only one major characteristic that makes them unique: the point. The Self-Drilling point on the screw is made during the point-forming process in Xinruifeng's facilities.
Self-Drilling Screws are made to penetrate thin to thick types of sheet metal or metal blocks.
Depending on the size and length of the screw, the drill point can range from #1 to #6 drill point. The larger the point size the longer the screw to make it capable of drilling through the thicker block of metal.
These Self-Drilling Screws are able to drill metal-to-metal or wood-to-metal. Some Self-Drilling Screws also come with wings, but no, they do not fly.
These wings sit right on top of the drill points, which acts as diggers digging through the wood above the metal. It helps creates larger areas for wood and metal burrs to be burrowed out.
Before the wings reach the metal layer, it snaps off making it easier to be drilled through metal. Xinruifeng is also able to provide special types of Self Drilling Screws, such as blade cut points for heavy-duty drilling.
